The bases measure 60mm (almost 2 3/8 inches) high.

The arms of the crosses are 330mm (13 inches) wide.

The crosses and their bases are made out of top quality 20mm seasoned oak.

The cross in the top picture has an upright and arms that are 50mm (about two inches) wide.

It weighs 1430gms (about 3lbs 3ozs).

The cross in the lower picture has more slender pieces that are 43mm (about 1 3/4 inches) wide.

It weighs 1240gms (about 2lbs 12ozs).

The crosses are stained and wax polished as follows: One coat of medium oak wood stain. One coat of Somerset beeswax mixed with genuine turpentine which is allowed to soak in overnight. This is then rubbed down with a fine grade of steel wool. One coat of Mylands clear wax which is also allowed to dry overnight. This is then buffed to a good shine.

The resulting colour and finish is better than it appears to be in the photograph. It is satin smooth with a deep natural wax and a hard, shiny exterior. Alright I admit it, I am pleased with this finish.
