I am very pleased to be able to offer settles to you.
The one pictured measures 1370mm
wide, 970mm high and 550mm deep. The seat height is 345mm. It is designed to have
two cushions on it. The star designs on the backrest stand 2mm proud of their white,
surrounding pine. They have rounded, bevelled edges. The deep drawers have dovetails

on all four corners and inset handles. On each end of this settle I have painted small
pictures of wrens, using wood stains and black ink.
The two armrests have an attractive, striped finish. Each drawer is labelled, and the centre
one includes the company name and the serial number of the piece.
The settle is finished using
genuine beeswax polish. I make my own polish using wax from
Somerset beehives and turpentine. The colour of the settle will change during the first six
months of its life. At the end of that time its antique appearance will have been enhanced
in the final colour of the pine.
Please note that in the photographs on this page the Cursed Camera plays its part. For
example, the two wrens and their surrounding wood are in fact identical colours. The
settle will age evenly in shade.
